Events and Marketing Coordinator
This role is responsible for leading the planning, logistical operations and participation in all KICVentures events. The Events and Marketing Coordinator will direct cross-functional staff and vendors as well as work collaboratively with surgeons and internal stakeholders to execute on the company’s vision and business objectives at events. This role owns all aspects of the comprehensive event management experience, including managing the departmental budget allocated for events, monitoring metrics to demonstrate event impact and ROI, project management and leading the execution of the event on-site.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the planning, logistical operations and execution of KICVentures and its portfolio companies events
Responsible for marketing all events on social media, primarily LinkedIn.
Direct cross-functional staff and vendors as well as work collaboratively with surgeons and internal stakeholders to execute on the company’s vision and business objectives at events
Manage planning and execution of ancillary events such as symposium, journal clubs, labs and dinners
Work directly with the Executive Leadership Team to plan events and clearly communicate objectives, expectations, and responsibilities to stakeholders/vendors/attendees
Lead and organize event setup in accordance with marketing and sales strategy and budget in order to meet business objectives
Negotiate contracts with venue, societies and vendors to meet business needs
Create, manage, and own events timeline/project plans
Work with marketing and leadership team to create attendance and staffing plan for hosting the events
Stay current on event trends and technology on digital and print media platforms.
BA in Marketing or related degree
Incredibly energetic and loves event planning and management
3-5 years event management experience
Confident in verbal and written communication with all levels of an organization
Must be highly organized, flexible, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects, with tight deadlines
Must be able to source multimedia equipment and design room set-up; organize meeting materials; and coordinate and develop meeting/event collateral materials
Must be able to work independently as well as problem solve and make critical decisions with minimal supervision
Ability to scrutinize the current trade show and event planning process and to continually evolve/improve the process to better meet the demands of the business
Willingness to travel (60% travel)
