The ideal candidate should have experience raising and deploying capital with Private Equity/Venture Capital/Family Office Funds. KICMedDevices is a growth and buyout medical device fund that plans to do six deals – three growth and three M&A with a target investment size of $5M-10M. We have already identified the growth targets as two differentiated and revolutionary medical technology companies in spine surgery – Spinefrontier and AxioMed, with the third being a high-tech manufacturer – M&K Engineering. M&A targets will be revenue generating distributorships. You are joining two experienced fund managers who have 30 years of combined expertise in medical devices and are uniquely positioned to capitalize on the opportunity with surgeons. We are looking for a third member focused on fund raising to complete our team.

  • You have an entrepreneurial instinct with a sense of urgency to ‘get going yesterday’ to understand and sell value proposition to investors
  • You are quantitatively inclined with the ability to present the business and financial potential to investors
  • You are passionate about making the world a better place through healthcare technology

In This Job You Will

  • Work directly with executive management to support, enhance and articulate investment strategies and processes
  • Own the fund-raising process (materials, investor outreach, meetings, diligence and close)
  • Work closely with external parties on fund structure, reporting and investor communication
  • Research portfolio companies, meet business managers and prepare investor materials for the Fund
  • Be expected to travel significantly as needed for investor meetings

What Makes You a Great Fit for This Role

  • 5-10 years of investment experience at a top-tier firm or with any LPs (endowments, family offices etc.)
  • Proven success record of raising capital for a fund
  • An understanding and appreciation for the huge opportunity in health care financing
  • Demonstrated understanding of capital markets, quantitative analysis and investor requirements
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to roll up one’s sleeves and work in a team-based environment
  • Extensive network of contacts with HNWI, Family Offices and other Funds
  • Demonstrated ability to orchestrate all diligence resources including internal and external parties
  • Proficiency in strategic planning, deal structuring and financing (preferred)
  • Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions and partnership creation (preferred)
  • CFA & relevant securities licenses (preferred)
  • MBA (preferred)

Working Conditions

Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Travel up to 15%

Physical Requirement

Must be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English.
